My pal Cazz recently started a blog with a friend of hers in which the two salivate in tandem over their celeb crushes of yore – and by “of yore” I mean “when they were 5.” Michael smells a potential meme! My sister found the cutest website today to celebrate Mother’s Day. You can send your mom a video clip from CNNBC that features her as the Mother of the Decade. Celeb testimonials include America “Real Women have Curves and are Ugly” Ferrera and mom of the Willenium Michelle Obama. My mom loves stuff like this. Most moms do. It’s right up there with crying at Hallmark commercials and buying bulk boxed wine. Make the video, send her the link and DON’T FORGET TO CALL HOME TOMORROW. Even though she promises to start learning how to text, a phone call is still the best option. And isn’t it worth it so that you too can be cool and thoughtful?

Granted I wouldn’t want the above title written on my tombstone (especially considering how sweet engravings are becoming) but I think it sums up my current thinking and immaturity pretty well. At least for today. Tomorrow I may be quoting That’s So Raven with a little “It’s the future I can see” and just really blow your mind.
I first heard about this website on Twitter when I saw Stephen Colbert’s comic gem: “Well, I thought it was funny.” And immediately I thought, Damn! That was such a good idea. I wish I had thought of it first. He’s always one step ahead of me. So off I went to the website and there I got completely caught up in the amount of content they’ve amassed. Page after page of the most random stuff. Suicide plans to practical jokes. Mundane activities to deep personal confessions. Then the occasional: “I have worn various bodily fluid.” Nice. And all the while I’m double, sometimes triple checking (depending on punctuation and hyphens) to make sure that there are six words. Yep. Yep there are.
